Trekking Hito Piuquenes

Hiking Trail Hito Piuquenes

The Piuquenes landmark is a border crossing between Chile and Argentina, located at 4050 meters above sea level in the heart of the Andes mountain range. The landscapes that you can see from this point are truly amazing and unforgettable.
In just two days you will be able to travel the same path that San Martín de Los Andes did, one of the most important liberators of Chile and Argentina from the Spanish crown.
The first day we will visit the Yeso river valley, the Yeso reservoir and Laguna de los Patos, 3 amazing attractions for their landscapes, turquoise waters, fauna, flora and geology.
On the second day, after having slept at 3,000 meters above sea level, early in the morning, we will cross the Yeso River to start our trekking to the border landmark, while we are overwhelmed by the immense Andes in Chile. Once at the border, you will be able to observe the incredible glacier of the Nevado de Piuquenes volcano at a height of more than 6,000 meters above sea level. The wind and the landscapes will make you feel the intensity of the mountains in the south of the world ...
